Multigraphics Holdings Ltd Acquired by DS Smith Packaging
On March 4th 2008 DS Smith Packaging Ltd, a Division of DS Smith Plc, the international packaging and office products supplier, acquired Bradford based, Multigraphics Holdings Ltd.
Multigraphics is a leader in large format silk-screen and digital printing for advertising, retail display and promotional packaging. The MD Gary Lasham, and the existing management team, will continue to run the business which will be known as DS Smith Multigraphics.
The acquisition represents a natural extension of DS Smith Packaging’s speciality packaging segment which produces very high impact packs and display materials for brand owners and retailers. The expertise which Multigraphics brings into DS Smith Packaging will complement the advanced design and printing skills which characterise rapidly growing markets such as retail ready packaging and in store display. What’s more, corrugated board is expected to play an increasingly important role in retail display and signage owing to its strong environmental credentials.
