DS Smith Packaging is Supplier of the Year 2008
At the UK Packaging Awards event held by Packaging News on November 3rd 2008, DS Smith Packaging was singled out the UK's Supplier of the Year. The focus was on DS Smith's Packaging site in Launceston which has become a market leader in just-in-time supply to a range of customers as well as a top supplier of postal packaging for items such as books, music and electronics.
At the same awards ceremony, the Worldstar winning "Office Depot" pack picked up the Supply Chain Solution Award. This environmentally sustainable design has led to significant savings in distribution costs.
