Highly effective export packaging
Our ‘corrugated engineers’ at DS Smith Speciality Packaging Rawcliffe have designed a pack for exporting radiators which has produced savings in unit price, packing time and freight costs for Denso Marston. The pack is designed to withstand the rigours of international transport and be completely fit for purpose when it arrives at the car assembly line.
The pack is made from two universal base fittings which form two base supports and are die-cut in such a way as to give perfect support to the radiators.
The construction technique reduced the cost of packaging materials by 25% and the rate of product packing has increased by 40%. Improved space utilisation on the lorries has increased capacity by 60%.
