Setting the standard
This pack for Cadbury’s Dairy Milk was produced by DS Smith Speciality Packaging at Belper in response to a brief requiring a new outer pack which would be both strong in transit and create a high quality display on shelf. Further design constraints were imposed including the need to use existing packaging machinery.
The solution was to introduce an easy open tearback system which avoids the need to use knives to open the pack in-store. Tesco has adopted this style as a Retail Ready Packaging standard.
The pack is made from 85% recycled paper which conforms to the Food and Drugs Act and, of course, it is 100% recyclable.
